Scolopendrasin VII, FCTCNVKGFNAKNKRGIIYP, is an antimicrobial peptide from the centipede Scolopendra subpinipes mutilans. Scolopendrasin VII has been shown to possess anticancer peptide activity, decreasing the viability of the leukemia cells by inducing necrosis. This is mediated by specific interaction with phosphatidylserine, which is enriched in the membrane of cancer cells (Lee JH et al, 2015).
