MEB5
a multipotent neural stem cell line established from embryonic mouse forebrains after infection of a retrovirus carrying the E7 oncogene of human papillomavirus type 16. MEB5 cells express markers for neural precursor cells (nestin, A2B5, RC1) but no markers for neurons, astrocytes, or oligodendrocytes (Nakagaito et al, 1998). The cells express Activin A receptors (Satoh et al, 2000).
